Researcher invited in 2014
Alexander Nagel is an American professor at the Institute of Fine Arts of New-York. Art historian and sometimes critic, his work was first rooted in Italian Renaissance Studies but soon went beyond this scope. A field that he durably contributed to redefine.
His research indeed questions with originality and precision art temporalities, particularly contemporary art, encouraging us to think every level of today’s art as well as yesterday’s obessions that give its hybrid identity.
As part of his international chair, he will present a hybrid conference entitled "The glass under water, the form that seems a form seen in a Mirror"
