The research program (2013-2016) "Registers of the Comédie-Française (1680-1793) proposes to highlight a corpus of written archives practically inaccessible and invisible until today, both for artists (actors, directors), researchers, archive professionals and IT specialists.

Through our virtual space (website) the potential of these precious manuscripts could be explored at the quantitative level (via the database and its research tools) as well as on an encyclopedic and educational prospect.

With an intellectual and methodological approach for an open and accessible, transparent and meticulous, the RCF program team seeks to reach chosen addressees but also a larger Internet users community: curious persons, spectators, professors, students or unexpected researchers who then will seize this website to spread its contents and results on the web through their work and links.

This symposium falls within this spirit of opening, sharing and experimenting. It aims to tackle evey field of application of the RCF program, a project that relies on the notion of "corpus" before everything.
