Thesis : cloud computing applied to digital audio musical creation
Directed by Anne Sèdes
Eliott Paris holds a Master in Musicology, Creation, Music and Society from the University of Paris 8. He is also research engineer at the CICM (Center for IT Research and Musical Creation), works within the project HOA 3D and is interested in computer science and designing software for musical creation.
Computer music is constantly evolving : devices for data synchronization and collaborative creation become more and more essential. The notion of "cloud computing" allows new solutions to arise and oppose those constraints. Yet tje solutions brought by existing software are often not adapted to the issues of current audio digital creation.
Thanks to this research project, combining development and creation, Eliott Paris aims at providing new software solutions to those issues, which will allow new uses to arise by offering new means of expression and new ways to interact with music.
