Researcher in Art Practice
Julie Châteauvert is a young Canadian researcher and artist. She currently carries on a doctorate in Studies and Practice of Arts, for which she explores the gesture material of sign languages. Her research also combines art and politics.
She is involved in the project CIGALE through her theoretical and practical thesis, which deals with literary creation in sign languages, and more specifically with poetry.
In addition with activities and events, teaching and managing cultural organizations, Julie Châteauvert develops a professional art practice, for most of it related to research on sign languages.
