The boundaries of blurriness are they distinct ? This question is technical and scientific, but also artistic and political : its subjects are numerous, its issues are multiple. As we study this question, we learn more about the concepts blurry/distinct and we are enlightened on the subject of boundaries and their own blurriness.

A reflection on the boundaries of blurriness allows us to rethink the relation technique/esthetics, disrupted by this odd subject that is blurriness. Thus we understand that the issue of boundaries is not about limits, but more about thresholds, and that it evolves according to time, history and life.
Pascal Martin is Associate Professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière.
