The program "Replay, restoration re-creation..." offers to compare archives of disappeared artworks with those which justify a part of contemporary creation. By focusing on the place of the body in the artwork, from statues to choreographies, the idea is to question the way documentary medium, destined to become "archives", take part – or not – in the process of order, production and reception of the artworks.

The speakers, academics, artists, critics or curators, are invited to think about these questions by comparing their own works with the archives corpus set up upon this research program, gathering descriptions of documents from the Archives nationales, the CNAP, the CNDC and the ENSAPC marked by artworks that disappeared in different ways (physical destruction, performed artwork...).

We will hear Franck Leibovici, poet and artist. He will discuss with Patrick Nardin, artist and professor at the University Paris 8.

Free admission.
